Lavanya Sharma- The Karate Kid

“Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out,”  says R. Colier. Hard work and dedication are the key ingredients for achieving success. Lavanya Sharma is one such kid whose success is an inspiration for many. She belongs to the city Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Her father Mohit Sharma and mother Pratiksha Sharma believe that God gave them a multi-talented daughter like Kohinoor with a message to fulfill all their dreams by this angel. She has interests in reading, dance, drawing, and karate. She became a black belt holder in karate when she was only 5.9 years old. Also, she is a winner of the champion in table competition at the district level and 1st runner up in international table competition and she knows table up to 100.

She won the international karate championship with the gold medal, won the best fighter trophy, a trophy for hard work. She won a total of 16 trophies, 11 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and many other prizes too. She won a medal in Hindi Olympiad and many more. She was a 5-star student in playschool and got an excellence certificate for summer camp. She won her 1st silver medal in karate when she was just 4 years old and from then the journey of medals continues till today. She got a position in the top 120 on the national level in a talent hunt competition for telling capitals of all India, national anthem singing, calculation, and many more. She is also preparing for writing a book.

Further, we got to know about her parent’s dream to see  Lavanya as a genius personality and they want to see her name in the world book after 10 years from now. They describe her as an ambivert i.e. someone who is both an introvert and extrovert as per the need of the hour. She is very caring for her family. Once when she was 3 years old and her mother got hurt in her knee ligament Lavanya used to pamper her foot and feed her with her hands and prayed to God.

We asked them about their opinion on the notion that child prodigies isolate themselves from their peer mates since they have higher IQ and are busy discovering things in their zone and they believe it as a good way to become famous and if the child is achieving anything special by doing so then it is great.

We informed them about the fame beyond imagination and people will start recognizing her so they need to make sure a normal childhood for their child to which they said they will always guide her to learn from everyone and always be a learner. Sharing some memorable moments with Lavanya they said about a time when she asked her mom about what is her favorite thing and she told her that she likes gold medals and trophies and Lavanya replied beautifully ok mummy I will decorate the whole house with medals and trophies.

They feel their daughter to be more important than society and hence protect her from the pressure of the expectations of the society. They recommend other parents to make their daughters strong and brave and sons to know about respecting women.

This was all about Lavanya Sharma and the child prodigy wishes her all the best for her future endeavours.
