At the tender age of 4 years, usually kids start going to school and learn A B C D, but the girl Kavinaya Vasanthakumar from Mettur has finished the first 2 stages in silambam at this little age. Silambam is a weapon based Indian martial art from Tamil Nadu. Silambam is the world’s first and foremost martial art that has a disciplined structure. The major focus of Silambam is on bamboo materials. The length of the bamboo depends on the height of the specialist. Preferably it should just touch the forehead with three fingers from the head. Different lengths can be used depending on the situation.
Apart from silambam, she has good knowledge of academics and general knowledge as she knows about every state, district and capital. She can identify national symbols and flags. At this age, she is the expert of tamil language as she can speak flowers’ names, 300 questions, and answers in Tamil. Not only this, but she can write tamil alphabets also. She has created a record in India Book of Records for being the youngest to perform Silambam non-stop. She performed Silambam non-stop for 14 minutes and 33 seconds at the age of 3 years and 11 months. Apart from creating the record in the India Book of Records, she has also created a record in Asian Book of Records for performing the Silambam.
